The aim of this book is to offer a comprehensive comparison of German, French and Swiss history using the Upper Rhine region as an example. The three nations’ differing development is made as apparent as their similarities. As a standard reference which gives an overview through short factual summary texts and presents over 300 impactful illustrations, this book is an important contribution towards understanding between the three neighbouring nations.
