The cast iron cooker

Timeless and hard-wearing

There are some things over which time has little or no effect. This enamelled cast-iron cooker is proof of that. Properly installed and connected to one of the fireplaces in the Schweitzer house, it’s certain that it can still be used to prepare delicious dishes.
When they first appeared and spread throughout the home, wood and coal-fired cookers were a minor domestic revolution, saving fuel and ensuring better heat distribution, all with greater safety.
